The response time is greater than that of the direct operated solenoid valve. The solenoid valves are defined by the symbols 2/2 which indicate 2 channels / 2 positions and 3/2 which indicate 3 channels / 2 positions. They can also be defined by the N.F. and N.O. functions, which means Normally Closed and Normally Open without supplying the coil. With the 3/2 symbol the universal function can also be used: normally closed, normally open, or mixer function (2 inputs – 1 output) or selector function (1 input – 2 outputs).
